At First Baptist Pelham, our Mission Statement clearly defines our purpose: Becoming Great Commission Christians by making much of Jesus. Everything we do is about making disciples who will in turn make other disciples. It is our desire to reach every man, woman, boy, and girl with the message of the Gospel. Our Worship Style provides a mix between traditional and contemporary formats with the goal of leading all worshippers into the presence of God. Through inspirational teaching and preaching, worshippers are given new insights into God's Word and encouraged to apply those insights to their daily lives.
Our Growth in membership and Sunday School has fostered spiritual renewal as we moved into expanded facilities on Pelham Parkway (Hwy. 31). Throughout our 85-plus year history, our people have sought to minister to the surrounding community while continuing to follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Our Affiliations with the Shelby Baptist Association, the Alabama Baptist State Convention, and the Southern Baptist Convention strengthen our commitment to reach our community, state, and world for Christ.
Each week, you'll find numerous opportunities to learn more about Christ and grow in Him, to fellowship with others, and to touch lives through worship, Bible study, missions activities and other events.
